About

My name is Sanna and I am originally from Finland. My husband is a born and bred Londoner. We live in the leafy part of North London with our two daughters.

As for our story in a nutshell... We met on a chair lift in Chamonix, France in 2006, married in 2011, had our lovely little daughter in June 2013 and another one in May 2018. They are now eight and three. We bought our fixer upper in 2015 and have ever since been bit by the renovation bug - the next big projects are a utilities room and the garden.

As for my day job, I work as an analyst/researcher, which in the words of my daughter means "Mummy works on the computer and goes blah blah blah"... Hubby currently works as a self-employed graphic designer, after a few years as a stay at home dad.

This blog is about the London life of working mum. I love photography and capturing those wonderful little everyday moments our family shares. You might also wonder where the name for my blog comes from. As I returned back to work and my hubby stayed home, "Wave to mummy" was what my husband said to our daughter every morning as I left for work. So we thought it was quite an apt name for the blog, about a family with a slightly unconventional set-up with a dad staying home, and we've stuck to it ever since, even if our circumstances have changed a bit.

In this family lifestyle blog I write about things such as kids fashionLondon with kids
interiors, our family life and travelling

I have selected some of my favourite posts here, and you are welcome to have a look.
