Cycling in our new park
When we moved to our new home I felt a bit reluctant about leaving our old stomping grounds. There was that amazing country estate just a short walk away, and an old cow's pasture for a playground just a few streets away. I was wondering how would it be in our new home, and how would the new park pan out.
Thankfully, I can say, it has turned out to be wonderful.
We frequent our nearby park several times a week. It is just at the end of the road, a few minutes walk away. It is huge, and has lots of walkways to cycle around on. There is a playground, swings, climbing frames, sandpit and lots and lots of new friends to meet.
One sunny day we went there again. Our little miss Pendleton, cycling on her new bike, saying hello to every single person that came towards us - be they on a bike, jogging, walking or pushing a pram. "Helloooooo! Nice to meet you! Bye bye!" rang in our ears several several times. "Ring ring" she'd ring her bell to say hi. And people would smile and say hi back, and compliment her beautiful pink bike...
So yes, I can say this park is just as good, and maybe a bit better than our last one! And you will see us cycling there for many more days to come....
So, how is your nearby park?
Aahh we love a bit of bike riding in this house too 😀ReplyDelete
It is so much fun! We are really enjoying it at the moment :)Delete
So glad you are enjoying your new area. I must admit I know at some point we will grow out of this house but I love the area around us and have no idea where I would want to move too #CountryKidsReplyDelete
We are enjoying it. It is not the most glorious location, but it has all the things we need and the train station is close. We think for us it will be the other way around - I think we will grow out of the area but wouldn't really want to leave our current house which is lovely!Delete
Always great to have a fab park nearby and love how your little one gives everyone a happy greeting.ReplyDelete
I never saw the appeal until I had kids! It really does make a difference when you know you can just go down the road to let them blow off some steam.Delete
So wonderful when you move and get to explore and discover all that is around you. Looks like you have really landed on your feet with this big park to cycle round. I can see many happy days spent here and exploring further afield too. *ring ring* Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKidsReplyDelete
Ah I can se many many happy days here, it really is a gorgeous and huge this park :) I've really enjoyed this area we live in now, it could be better, but the all the most important things are here, like a good park to enjoy outdoors in :)Delete
That park looks lovely and big and always good to have lots of space to ride a bike. Love that your little lady says hello to everyone :-)ReplyDelete
Ha ha yeah it is funny - I love it too :) And people always smile and chat back to her, so I think it cheers them up too :)Delete
Such beautiful photos and she looks so happy and proud on her bike. There is nothing better than finding somewhere nicel near where you live that you can go and have fun and special times. xReplyDelete
Thank you :) It was such a beautiful light on this day! She really loves her bike, and it is so handy that this big park is only down the road, few hundred meter away from us! :)Delete
It looks like a brilliant park for cycling in! And I love her little bike. My girls had one just the same - always with a dolly in the back seat too ;) xReplyDelete
It is so cute isn't it, when they get so attached to their dolls they have to take them out even bike riding :) Aili was insisting that we bring her baby out, that her baby had to be wrapped warm, and then she kept on talking how the baby is cold as we were riding around in the park... :)Delete
Lovely photo's Sanna! I wish our park was closer. I don't go very often but if I had one closer to home I definitely would. xxReplyDelete
We really are quite fortunate! That was one of the attractions for us when we were buying our house, close access to the park and to the train station :)Delete
Love the bike. My kids love riding in the park too, it's such a great way to get out and have fun. #WhatevertheweatherReplyDelete
It is, we just love it! Makes us exercise a bit too as she is getting fast on her wheels now :)Delete
So sweet! I love it when kids say hi to passers by (although slightly annoyed if people ignore their friendliness!), it's great to be friendly and social to people of all ages. Love cycling with my boys too, it's great excercise and you can go further than when they walk! Thanks for linking up to #Whatevertheweather :) xReplyDelete
Yup, I love it when kids say hi to oncoming folk and they engage :) the look on my daughters face if they don't say anything back is so heart breaking, she looks all sad and confused. Bless :(Delete
We cover some good distance too when she's on her bike! Thanks for hosting :)
I love these photos so much. So beautiful and such beautiful memories made. My little one is so sociable like that to, it's seriously cute. I absolutely adore the bike. Thank you so much for sharing with #whatevertheweather. xxReplyDelete
