Toddler OOTD #28 - Becoming a big girl

A while back we went to Coram's Fields and at their city farm met some furry friends. The goat was the best thing ever as far as my daughter was concerned - so exciting, so furry and so much fun to look at and take photographs with.

It is quite shocking to look at these pictures and see my tiny little baby look like a trendy little lady. She is growing up, fast. She is becoming a big girl. She now chooses her own shoes and her own dresses. Not everyday, but she certainly sometimes has her favourites that she insists on wearing (or not wearing in some cases...). On several occasions she chooses, well, let's say imaginative clothing combinations.

This time I got to choose her outfit, and went for something more considered. Something a bit trendy, something that is a little bit colour-matched, but not too much. Something a trendy little girl wouldn't mind wearing.

She herself picked these neon pink sandals up from H&M. The big girl she was she grabbed them from the hangers, sat on the floor, put them on, and tried to walk out of the shop, very happily wearing her new fabulous neon pink shoes. We of course had to do a little detour via the tills, but she wore the new sandals right after. And she loves wearing them. Maybe it is the bright colour. Or maybe it is that she "bought" them herself, like a big girl.

Do/did your toddlers choose their own clothes from shops? At what age?

    1. Oh cool! I hope you find them there, if not, I saw them online as well very recently :) They do seem surprisingly comfortable, it is probably the big wide straps. Loved the fact that they were her choice - I would not have picked them up.

  2. I want spotty jeans! My toddler has just started to say yes or no to clothes I pick. He usually says no to everything I suggest and demands anything covered with Minions! #weekendministyle

    1. Ha ha ha, oh no, Minions! :D They are quite popular at the moment but it is still going to look mighty funny being covered head to toe in Minions :D It is quite cute though when they do start to make their own decisions and I guess you just gotta roll with it!

  3. Loving the spotty jeans and those sandals are fab! I love H&M, I nearly always end up buying something from there when I pop into town. We are planning a trip to Coram Fields next week, I can't wait to visit the farm.

We too buy far too many things from H&M, they just have such a great and well-priced selection!

    1. Oh no :) He is getting to that "No" age... :) I am sure he will grow up to be a very stylish boy once he gets over this stage, it is fun letting them choose their own clothing and see what they come up with :)

  6. Oh my goodness me. I am in love with this little outfit. That top is gorgeous. I would love one just like it for myself! It goes so well with the jeans and I absolutely love the neon sandals, they are awesome. Great choice from such a fashionista of a little girl. I love that she 'bought' them herself...I can totally see Isla doing that soon haha. Thank you so much for sharing this beauty of an outfit with us :) Hope you're having a great weekend xx #weekendministyle

    1. Yeah it is nice when they start choosing their own clothes and inserting their influence. I am sure Isla, once she starts doing it, will be one stylish little lady and choose lots of fabulous and fun things :)

And the top is really nice, it looks definitely like something an adult wouldn't mind wearing either. Very pretty and not kiddylike at all. Thanks for hosting :)
