Baby OOTD #15 - Our Polarn O. Pyret Christmas Cardigan

"Gucci! Is that Gucci Baby? Oh yes daddy, that is soooooo meeee!"

..... Mummy's daughter. Even if mummy will get one only in her (wildest) dreams, sigh :)

So this is the outfit from last week, when we went to the Harrods Christmas Grotto and the Disney Cafe. We got this lovely little Christmas cardigan a few weeks ago, and our little one has been wearing it almost constantly. So comfortable, so cute, and so appropriate for the season. I don't think it is too Christmassy (even if it is red) so I think we will get wear out of it next year too. It is from Polarn O. Pyret which in my opinion comes up as a bit big, so I think our diddy little girl might be able to wear this next year too.

Matched with the favourite rara-skirt that has featured in at least two outfit posts before (here and here) and the little ugg-booties we got a few weeks back. We were thinking of getting her the proper brand Uggs, but then we thought they are really quite pricey for a girl who has (fast) growing feet... I have a pair myself, and they are lovely and warm, but spending £30-40 on shoes that can only really be used for a short amount of time and certain weather conditions...  We ended getting her cute Clarks bunny boots (more on those next week!) and these "fake" uggs from H&M for a fiver.

I know I posted a big load of Christmas jumpers last week, but I gotta say, this Polarn O. Pyret jumper of this post is my favourite of them all. I like the classic look with the snowflakes. I've probably mentioned it here umpteen times already, but I usually go for the classic, mini-adult look for my little one. Simple and stylish.

What kind of Christmas jumpers have you gotten for your little ones this year?

  1. Our favourite Xmas jumper this year is the Santa one my mum knitted him.
I love this cardigan. It's a little different and very stylish and not too obviously Xmas. Very cute

    1. Ooh, I think I saw it in one of your TT-Thursday posts - it truly was so cute, a perfect Christmas jumper. And even better for being made by a very special person...

  2. That's a very cute cardigan! My daughter has got a 'proper' Christmas jumper, which I bought big so it will last for next year too. I prefer things like your daughter's cardigan which are more subtly Christmassy. My daughter has also asked for some fake Ugg boots for Christmas!

    1. I find that is a good way to get more wear out of seasonal wear - buy it a size too big and hope for not a massive growth spurth in the mean time :) I did see a "proper" Xmas jumper as well at M&S, which I sort of regret not buying... To be honest, these items are seasonal so it is a bit silly buying a lot of different ones, better stick with something you can use for the whole winter.

    1. Thank you :) They had a white grey one as well, but I liked this one better, more Christmassy, but also I thought the pattern showed better.

  4. I do love the winter jumpers rather than the obvious 'Christmas' ones. It means they can wear them all winter rather than just in the Christmas run up. The red is lovely - I reckon N's Christmas jumper will also last until next year as it's long for him now.

    1. That's handy - hopefully it will fit! IT is tricky sometimes, as kids grow at such irregular pace. But hopefully it will be OK for next year too. I have a winter jumper as well, which I wear as a Christmas jumper - in my opinion it is just as good even if it doesn't have a garish santa/reindeer/snowman frolicking around :) And I can wear it in Jan too! :)

  5. Beautiful cardigan, certainly not just a Christmas cardy but a Winter Cardy - I've (not by choice - more on that another time) kept away from the novelty jumpers/cardy's and happy my childrens Christmas clothes can we worn all of Winter. Loving the boots - and Baby certainly needs Gucci!! ;-) Thank you for sharing #TT_Thursday

    1. I know, she definitely needs the Gucci :D I think daddy was slightly petrified she is going to grab it and drag the very expensive bag on the floor :D I don't have _Christmas_ cardys myself, just winter ones too, a bit more practical I think.
